Influence of Process Parameters on Cutting Width in CO2 Laser Processing of Hardox 400 Steel

This paper presents an experimental research that proposes to determine the influence of process parameters on CO2 laser cutting 8 mm thick Hardox 400 steel, for which Kerf has a minimum value. The was conducted according complete factorial plan with power, assistant gas pressure and speed as input parameters, width dependable variable. Design Experiment (DOE) consisted 27 references completed four replicas variation average. Functional, linear quadratic relations were determined, describe dependence in order establish most influential parameter. results show independent parameter significant obtained if power adjusted average values. interaction between auxiliary at constant investigated improve reduce processing cost. study offers right combination leads value width.
